The day I finally get to speak my mind.
Well, I have had many beefs with GMH/Balfour Beatty since we moved into housing, the biggest annoyance of mine was when I heard BB was paying people to live in the community with the same houses that I lived in. I am excited, because I have now found the correct forum to voice my opinion where it will be heard. I wish this type of forum was held regularly, because perhaps BB might have an incentive to treat their customers better.

Lots of appointments
Today was the dentist appointment that I have been dreading for the last five months. It really wasn't that bad, but I hate thinking about my teeth falling out. Honestly, I don't have horrible teeth. I think they are okay. The dentist says I have a cavity and it needs to be fixed, so I guess I will have it fixed. Its my first one ever, so I am a bit nervous. Actually, I am alot nervous. This time I actually scheduled the appointment. Kudos to me.
The Mack-noodle went to the vet today also. He has been limping these past couple of days, and I was a bit worried. The vet says it is probably just a strained muscle, and to let him rest (aka no dog park). She gave us some pain meds and hopefully in a week or so it should heal itself. I admit it, I am a nervous doggy mommy, and I don't know what I would do without my mack-noodle. It is so wonderful to have him sit there at my feet, those nights when Drew is gone.

Pizza Night
Last night was pizza night with the wardroom ladies, these nights are always a fun time, and it is so much better than eating a sandwich at home alone. The boat was having a slumber party (aka closing the hatch, and pretending to be gone), and lucky for me it was a duty day for Drew anyway.
It is a very interesting dynamic of ladies. Everyone is in different places in their lives with kids, and priorities, but we all can get together and have a great time just hanging out--and this includes talking about subjects other than the boat, the schedule or the duty days.
Its very realistic to think that this adventure in the navy, and with boat could have been so different, but I made so many great friendships, and I hope to carry those friendships for a long time even after we leave the navy.

The countdown is on...
Well, its February, and I can start to safely say we have year left on the boat. It is exciting to know that this will end in the forseeable future, and we can start a new chapter in our lives.
Its is amazing to think that we have been here two years. I know despite Drew's long hours we will miss the community of wonderful people on the boat, but I will be happy to go!
